Party tonight

Going to O'Connell's tonight with Meaghan. We're meeting my friend Chris there and gonna drink. SHould be extra fun. I'm totally in the mood to go out and have fun tonight. I hope Chris and Meaghan like eachother and hit it off.

Meaghan's sister, Julie, is coming out to dinner with us. She's not 21, so she can't drink with us, but I'm so excited to meet her.

OKay, I must go get ready now.

Pictures will come later!

The Sick Couch

I'm on the Sick Couch today. The sick couch is where the sick kids go and I'm sick. Sore throat, headache, stuffy nose. I've got it.

On a cooler note, I'm setting Meaghan up on a blind date with my friend Chris. We're all going to O'Connell's tomorrow night. I really hope they hit it off becuase that would be so cool. Although I realized that if the two of them hook up, I'll be Single Holly forever. *sobs* I need a man!

Okay. Back to the sick couch...

Fun in Norman

So, I hung out with my friend Meaghan last night. We went to Norman and ate at Panera, went to Barnes and Noble, Target, drank at O'Connell's, and then frolicked around the South Oval taking pictures. Fun stuff!

We found this red telephone booth by the Microbiology building and wow, it was a great setting for our pictures.

I think I'm getting sick. Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

One more...

Just a few more pictures I love!

My studio with the bricks and me and my birthday roses!

With love, from me, to you.

So, I've been in a crafty mood since my scrapbook room is in shambles right now. Therefore, I had to find something to do to fulfill my creative streak. Hence, the decoupage letters. These are my latest creations. I made them for Christmas gifts. The OU and the funky W are for my sister. The fancy red and green W is for my mom to put in the living room, the S and J are for my parent's bedroom and the cool H, well, that's for my scrap studio.

I'll be posting pictures of my scrap studio today so you can see how it looks with the bricks. I'm pretty much loving it, however, it's a mess right now. My desk had all sorts of stuff scattered all over it. I'm going to re-organize tomorrow and clean out some stuff I don't use anymore. (Horray for Kim! She's taking all of my scrap stuff for me so I can reload with new stuff!)

Merry Christmas!

The Day After....

I always hate the day after my birthday! It makes me sad that my birthday won't come again for another 364 days! *sigh*

My mom forgot to make my birthday cake! Can you believe that? She felt SO bad. She made it today, it's a white cake with lemon pudding between the layers and some white fluffy homemade icing on top with these little red and green sprinkles on top. YUMMY!

My mom had today off so we went shopping. Have I mentioned that I hate shopping this time of year? Becuase I do. We went to the Wal-Mart on Penn and Memorial and then to Quail Springs Mall, after that we went to the Yukon Walmart and to Kohls. There's way too many people out shopping. Totally not my thing. I hate being around that many people.

I'm going out tonight with Jessica. We're going to Charleston's on I-240 where my sister works! I want their spinach dip! Yum yum! Hm, and probably their West End Chicken. It's grilled chicken with mushrooms, bacon and havatri cheese on top. SO good. Maybe we'll see a movie later. I really want to see The Holiday with KAte Winslet and Cameron Diaz. Leslie said it was really funny.

Okay, I must run and get ready. Have a nice night!

12.21.2006

Two posts from the birthday girl today! Aren't you lucky?

I swear, I've gotten so many birthday wishes today! Thank you!!! My facebook wall is filled up with sweet messages! My Myspace is pretty full too!

My sister went back to Norman. I was going to go with her, but she wasn't going to do anything fun tonight and was just going to play Nintendo Wii in her apartment.

I got my Razr phone and yea, it's just as wonderful as I had imagined.

Can you believe Christmas is only a few days away? Goodness! Time sure flies! It seems as though school just started for the semester and it was football season.

My dad is going to Dallas tomorrow. I might tag along, but haven't decided for sure yet.

Going to bed now....I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night/this morning, so I must sleep!

22! 22! Double Deuces baby! 22! 22!

So, I'm officially 22. Well, technically, not until 1:16 this afternoon. But anyhoo, today is my birthday! My sister called me right at midnight and wanted me to go out with her. I obliged, (after all, who is gonna turn down free alcohol on their birthday?) So, we went to this bar called McFinn. Pretty fun. Whitney, Tommy, James, Jade and I all hung out. Whitney was drunk off her ass. Jade drove her truck back to Norman and I lead him there in my Equinox. I've never seen my sister drunk before, but man! She is super flirty when she's drunk. She and Jade were flirting all night (Jade is a guy, by the way). We left at 2:00am and then went back to Whitney's apartment. I ended up falling asleep around 4-ish.

We're all going to Outback tonight for dinner and then I might go out with Whitney again. I dunno though.

Must go do some Christmas shopping now. Maybe I'll stop for green tea along the way. After all, it is my birthday.

12.20.2006

One more day!

Until my birthday!!! I'm not one bit excited...nope not at all....I'm a terrible liar. I'm about to jump out of my skin. I want my Vera Bradley messenger bag from my sister and my new phone! Plus, we're all going out to eat tomorrow night at Outback. That's been our birthday place for years! I love their Wallaby-darned drink. It's similar to a peach bellini and oh so yummy!

Leslie just came over and we exchanged gifts! She brought me a dozen salmon colored roses for my birthday and a Wal-Mart gift card. I spend so much money at Wal-Mart, it's crazy. I love the roses, they smell SO good. What's cool is that when I was born, my grandpa brought my mom salmon colored roses to the hospital. So, I was so excited when Leslie's roses she brought me were salmon colored too.

Going to take a bubble bath now!

12.19.2006

I love being a girl!

I want to go get a pedicure and manicure. I'm in the mood to spend a day getting pampered. Thursday I'm going to spend all day just being girly. Bubble bath, painting toe nails, getting my hair pretty, etc. I love girly days!

Went to Norman with my sister tonight. We ate at Chili's and then went to Barnes and Noble. I love looking at books. I seriously could spend all day in the book store.

I want a fruit smoothie right now. Something with LOTS of strawberries.

I'm so sick and tired of being single. I want a cute boy to play with. I want someone to hang out with and hold my hand. I want to have little inside jokes. *sigh* I'd be a great girlfriend, I promise!

I'm addicted to Miami Ink on TLC! LOVE IT!

My Birthday is in 2 days!!!

Oh happy day!

I was totally a daddy's girl today. I got up early and ran around with him all day. We left at 9 and went to Lowe's on the south side. There, we bought my mom 6 poinsettia plants and some bamboo. She's going to be so surprised! We went to Norman and visited some of my dad's clients. We took 4 of them out for lunch and then came back home. Good times.

The parents have to go to a neighborhood association meeting tonight.

Tomorrow I'm subbing for my old yearbook teacher. She teaches Junior English, Yearbook, Newspaper and Journalism. I can't wait to sub for them! It'll be great!

12.17.2006

Glenn Beck and Christmas stuff

Glenn Beck was awesome last night. Gosh, he's so cool. Very little politics in last night's show. It was mostly a Christmas message about spending time with the ones you love and knowing that Christmas isn't just about presents and lots of food. It's about the magic of the holiday, the sparkle in a child's eyes and being with your family creating memories. Such a good time and even more special that I got to spend some time with my dad.

I just picked up a sub job tomorrow at the high school teaching Spanish. Cool kids. I've subbed for them before. Maybe I can get my Christmas cards made out while I'm watching those kids.

I printed off the high school social studies PASS skills this morning. The cool thing about Hisotry is that you're essentially telling a story. That's why I enjoy it so much. I really hope I can teach American History and Government. I like Geography a lot and Oklahoma history, too, but American History and Government are my favorites.

My mom is at work today. She has to work 3-11 tonight. I hate it when she has to work that shift because she gets home at 11:30 and then has to get back up at 5:00 and be back at work at 6:30. She gets virtually no sleep. Poor mom. But, my dad and I are going to surprise her tonight and bring her dinner. So, that'll be fun.

Speaking of fun, the Survivor season finale is on tonight. Who do you think will win? I'm guessing Ozzy or Yul. I really want Ozzy to win though. He climbs trees like a monkey, swims like a fish, and gets along with everyone.

This week is going to be so good. My birthday, my red Razr phone should be here this week, I should be getting tags from my tag swap, my aunt mailed my Christmas and Birthday presents too. *I sound so selfish. I'm really not, I promise*

Anyway, I better get going. I'm in the mood to scrapbook today, but my scrapbook room is in shambles right now because it's getting bricked. So, maybe I can dlip through a few magazines and get some ideas.

12.16.2006

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Christmas time is here! How do I know that? The baking has begun!

Reindeer cookies, chocolate mice (a chocolate covered cherry, Hershey's kiss and 2 almond sliver ears) and Santa Sugar cookies.

YUMMY!

12.12.2006

One down, one to go.....

Took two finals today, Sales Management and Economics. I think I did decent on both. I have two more to take on Thursday.

Subbing yesterday was great. I had a bunch of really cool kids. Tomorrow I'm subbing at the Middle School....6th grade Math and Friday I'm at the high school teaching Physics. I tell ya, I have so much fun at the high school. The kids, for the most part, are great.

I totally need to scrapbook. I've been stuck in a rut for the past week or two. But I must break free of the creative dry spell and play with paper crafts today!!!

Hobby Lobby has scrapbook stuff on sale....I must resist and not succumb to the glorious scrapping treasures, however, it's *so* hard. Must be strong.....

12.11.2006

The week of hell....

Subbing today at the high school, AP Statistics and Calculus. Have I ever taken those classes? Um, no. A lot of help I'll be! *ha ha* Therefore, I'll be studying for Economics and Sales Management today.

Finals week always stresses me out. Although it's not really stress, it's more just nerves. Sales Management isn't really grating me on that bad, Economics on the other hand is scaring the crap out of me. My professor said that the final will come from our two tests, which he gave back to us), so I've been studying those tests like crazy. I even made flash cards. I need to pay attention to the calculations. If anything, that's what's going to get me.

I went to the mall yesterday to pick up a few goodies, including myself. I have a weird obsession with sweaters. In the winter, guaranteed I almost always have a sweater on. Love them. Anyway, I got some yummy gift cards and then while I was there I had a birthday coupon for 25% off at New York and Company (one of my favorite stores), so of course I had to go in and see what I could find. I got a gorgeous turquoise/light blue sweater and a black one. You can never have too many black sweaters.

While I was at the mall I saw this guy, he was maybe in his 30's or early 40's with a BOWL cut. Serisouly, what self respecting adult wear's his hair like that? Maybe that's cool, if you're like 9 years old, but any older than that is....unacceptable. Okay, that's the end of my rant.

Off to school.....enjoy your day!

12.09.2006

You know how I know you're gay? You like Coldplay.

So much for my wicked fun weekend. I called Leslie last night and she couldn't go out and do anything because she was babysitting. So, my parents went out last night to dinner and to see Blood Diamond. I fell asleep on the couch around 6:00, I was feeling better, but not 100% great. Anyway, I woke up at 9:30 this morning. That's like, 15 hours of sleep. NICE.

Today was fun. My mom and I went to the post office, Big Lots, Wal-Mart. Then we ate lunch at Taco Bueno and went to 7 Minutes later to get scrapbooking stuff for Christmas. Then, we ran to Target, did you know they have Prima flowers there? Yea, those darling little flowers in the glass bottles. Only, for $6.99. I bought 3 different bottles. Super cute! Can't wait to play with them.

Guess what happens in 12 days?!?! Um, yea, that would be my 22nd birthday! *woo hoo* There's just something incredibly cool about being 22. Maybe it's just because it's the same number twice. I don't know, but I'm very excited.

I'm watching The 40 Year Old Virgin. LOVE that movie. So funny. *Hence, the title quote*

12.08.2006

Fun weekend plans

Hm, I'm tired.

I want to do something tonight. I called Leslie and left her a voicemail. Jessica ususally goes out with Chris on Fridays, so I'm not going to attempt to call her. All I know is that I'm in the mood for some fun tonight, and some italian food. *yum*

I want to see The Holiday this weekend.

Subbing today was good. I had fun with the 7th graders, they're pretty cool.

Nothing else for news.

My birthday is in 2 weeks! Horray!

12.07.2006

Chubby Bunnies

So, I just finished my History and Philosophy of CareerTech final. It was slightly brutal. I think I did okay on it. I'm working on my personal philosophy statement right now....well, I'm supposed to be working on it right now *wink wink* But I'm really eating marshamllows and watching Beauty and the Geek.

I'm so addicted to Beauty and the Geek on MTV. I think it's the last season, but I've never seen it before, but I totally love it.

I'm feeling a little better today, but have a terrible headache right now and I'm only a little bit nauseous. I drank a Sprite once I got to school and felt better for a little while.

I hope Grey's Anatomy is new tonight. My mom said she didn't think it was though. *sad face* My Thursdays just aren't complete without Grey's Anatomy.

Tomorrow I'm subbing 7th grade Pre-Algebra. I was supposed to be at the Mid-High, but the teacher cancelled her appointment, so she didn't need a sub anymore. I also picked up a sub job Monday at the high school teaching AP Statistics and AP Calculus. Do I know anything about either of those? Um, no.

I want to see "The Holiday" this weekend. It looks like a cute romantic comedy, and those are my most favorite types of movies.

I ordered my Donna Downey bag last week. It's super wonderful and I can't wait to get it. Wanna see?http://www.dizeregadesigns.com/wst_page10.php?idx=4&file=images/dd_bag[1]_(2)1.jpg&&ID2=TVQSpW

Must run now....

12.06.2006

*BARF*

Yea, that's what I feel like doing right now. I don't know what's wrong, but I've felt so sick all day. I still subbed, but just went to the bathroom about 6 times because I thought I was going to throw up. I made it through the day, came home at 2:20 and work up about 5:20.

I was supposed to go to the scrapbook sotre's open house with Kim tonight, but because I wasn't feeling good, I didn't go. You know that's sick when I'll turn down going to the scrapbook store.

Classes tomorrow. Management, Sales Management, Problems of Today's Consumer, and Economics. Problems and Economics are optional tomorrow. I'm still planning on going to both of those classes though. I feel guilty when I don't go to class. Plus, we're just reviewing, so it's pointless not to go.

I have a final to take online tomorrow when I get home. So not looking forward to that. I also have to write a paragraph about my philosophy on Career Tech. It's only a paragraph, but still. It involves extra work. Remember, I mentally checked out already.

Going to bed now....9:08. Should get lots of good sleep tonight!

Ho Ho Holidays

So dead this morning. I'm in desperate need of caffeine.

I'm fixing to leave to go substitute teach. Today I'm at Mustang Mid-High teaching Special Ed. I think these are just kids with learning disabilities, and not so much mental retardation. I tell ya, the Special Ed kids are great. Totally love them. I try to get those sub jobs whenever I can. The classes are really laid back, and usually don't have too many kids in them.

I have to take my homework with me today, I have to have a philosophy statement for Career Tech turned in on Friday, and have I started on it? Of course not. Plus, I have a final online starting tomorrow at 6am and it's online until 6am on Friday. So, I have a full day to take the test, which is really nice. It's got a 2 hour time limit and of course is open book/open note.

I'm ready to be done with school. I've mentally checked out for the smester.

Take a walk on the wild side...

Subbing today.....*sigh* where to begin.....I had Alternative education kids....they were good until 7th hour, then after that, total and complete anarchy. I had all boys, all day long, (10 kids at the most in one class). 7th hour made me want to cry, kids standing on desks, leaning back in their desks on 2 legs, writing profanity on the dry erase board, hollering, punching one another. Complete madness. NEVER AGAIN.

Wednesday I'm subbing Special Ed and Friday I'm doing 9th grade geometry, both at the Freshman Center. Looking forward to those kids, they're pretty good.

My aunt and uncle are here. They rolled in around 6:30, we went to Interurban for $5.99 pizza night and $1 beer. So much fun.

Ran to Wal-Mart once I got home and got some Modge Podge for a project I'm going to start this week. I'll post pics once it's all done.

School tomorrow....not looking forward to it one bit. Hopefully it won't be too brutal. I'm just not in the mood for school right now. I'm over it for the semester.

Going to get my tage ready to mail off for my Tag Swap that was due on Friday! *eek!*

12.03.2006

My new favorite thing...

So, I love typography. I just do, always have. Well, I've been downloading free fonts all afternoon so I can use them on my scrapbook pages. I really really want a printer that can print on 12x12 pages. That would seriosuly revolutionize the way I scrap. Seriously. (Speakin of that, one of my friends said I say "seriously" a lot.) I'm working on that, thanks Leslie.

Went to Kohls this afternoon with my mom. I didn't buy anything. Although, I did take a picture with my camera phoe of Kitchen Aid Mixers. Every single time I go to Kohls, or a department store I always have to look at the mixers. It's just my routine. I'm obsessed with them. But today, the one I looked at had a ribbon tied around it. SO cute! I must have one.

We're going to Wal-Mart here in a little bit. My aunt and uncle are on their way back from South Dakota and Iowa and will be spending Monday and Tuesday with us. I love them so much. My dad is one of 9 kids and my uncle Todd is his baby brother. (My dad is the 3rd youngest) anyway, Todd just worked odd jobs and when he was in his 30's he went back to college, and spent about 6 or 8 years working to be a verterinarian. While he was back in school he met my aunt Cindy. She was divorced with teenaged kids and they met and fell in love. Cindy is an occupational therapist. For a long time while they were in school they just scraped by, never really had a lot of money to do anything. They got married in 2002, on a Friday and Todd graduated from Vet school on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, one big huge party week! They moved to Texas (from Iowa) and have a cute little life now. My uncle has his own clinic and my aunt makes about $80 an hour doing occupational therapy at nursing homes and hospitals. It's just nice to see them so happy now and they have a gorgeous house and a lot of land. They have a house in Las Vegas that they rent out to vacationers and it's just nice to see them have a lot of money now, because like I said, there were many years where they were barely making ends meet during college. Anyway, they are a perfect example of how, if you work hard, you can do anything. I love them so much!!!

Okay, enough of this mushy stuff. So, today go download some fonts! Trust me, you'll be addicted! and the best part is, they're FREE!!! http://www.dafont.com

12.02.2006

I'm a very happy elf....

Slept in until 9:30 this morning, my mom made me chocolate chip waffles for breakfast and then my parents went to see Deja Vu, I stayed home and took a shower, did my hair, makeup, etc. My sister came home and got in a fight with my mom and I left to do some Christmas shopping. While I was out, I stopped by 7 Minutes Later and picked up some treats.

Kim is playing little Miss Matchmaker and I'm so excited. Yay! Can't wait!

Okay, here's a peek at my treasures from 7ML today!

12.01.2006

The Scrap Factory

I spent a good part of the afternoon in my studio scrapping today. I did two 12x12 layouts and a 7 gypsies zig zag book for my friend Emma for Christmas. I've got pictures of the 2 layouts.

One is with some of our Christmas pictures and the other is from Glenn Beck's Midlife Crisis tour that my dad and I went to. I still have the other part of the Glenn Beck page to do with me and my dad with our surprised faces on. That's probably one of my favorite pictures of me and my dad. It's so silly, but I love it!

Also, my mom and dad went to Wal-Mart and guess what they came back with? a Gingerbread house decorating kit!!!! I love to cook, but even more than that, I love to bake. I've always wanted to take a cake decorating class, and I love decorating cookies! So, the gingerbread house was a fantastic gift. Since I was bored out of my mind today, I ripped right into the kit around 1:00. This was my first gingerbread house and let me just say, decorating it is not as easy as you might think. My gingerbread house looks quite....primitive. But, hey, it was my first attempt, so give me a break!

Doggy Style, that's just how we roll....

My puppies are so adorable. Maggie (left) and Cricket (left) love sitting on the back of the chair. Maggie looks especially darling right here....I love the innocent puppy look. Now sitting on the back of the chair all day, getting treats and looking out the window, that's style, doggy style!

Maggie is having a hard time adjusting to snow. This is her first winter and she's never seen snow before. So, when we stuck her outside to go potty she didn't want to have anything to do with it. She ran right back up to the door and cried until I let her back in. I don't blame her, I wouldn't want to have to poop or pee in the snow....it's COLD! But bless her little heart, she held it in all day, and then she peed on the tile. She was so scared that she was gonna get a spanking and she ran and hid under my bed (her favortie hiding spot). I cleaned up the mess, and didn't spank her. This was her get out of jail free card. *ha ha*

I am going to scrapbook today!!! No if's, and's or butt's about it! My tags for the tag swap I'm doing are due today, but there's no way I'm getting out and driving in the snow and ice today. The sun is melting some of the snow, but if it freezes again tonight, it's just going to turn to ice tomorrow morning.

I've got so many scrapbooking projects to work on!!! I need to journal on my Las Vegas mini book. I still have to do my Glenn Beck page from July!!! For my dad's brithday last year we went to Texas Motor Speedway and he got to do the Richard Petty Driving experience and he got to drive a real NASCAR car aorund the track. Talk about heaven, he loved every minute of it!!! I still need to do that page. Plus, I have cards to work on and a few more mini books for people for Christmas!!! I'm working on a window for my Aunt Lauri and Uncle Jeff. I can take my time on that since I won't be able to bring it to them until March when Jessica and I go to Rapid City for Spring Break.

Gonna go scrap now. Will post pics later!

11.30.2006

I'l put on my hat and gloves and in the snow we'll fall in love...

SNOW DAY! Yay!

I have to go make my car payment today, but besides that I'll be staying in my house all day baking with my mom and playing with my puppies.

Stay warm!

A Much Needed Break....

No school tomorrow because of bad weather. ROCK ON! So excited about that. So, now, I only have two more class periods and then the finals and I'm done for the semester. Exciting news! Maybe tomorrow I'll scrap all afternoon. I talk big, but it depends on what I've got going on tomorrow. I've got so many things I need to scrap...family Christmas pictures, my dad's NASCAR race, OU football, Glenn Beck show in July, etc.

I've started making gifts already! Here's Meaghan's zig zag book. Totally in love with the papers. I love Savannah by Foof-A-La!

Ho Ho Ho

Christmas pictures!!!! These will be gracing our Christmas cards this season. So excited about how good these turned out. Nobody wanted to take ones in the backyard, but I persisted and those turned out the best. *Note my cool new hair 'do* Awesome, I tell ya.

Anyway, here are a few pics for your viewing enjoyment....

How it used to be...

Ugh...am I the only one that's totally not interested in going to school today? I have a Management test this morning at 8:00. What a nice way to come back to class, ya know? Seriously, who is going to study over the break for the test? I know I didn't. I'm a slacker, I know.

I subbed Algebra at the Mid High yesterday. The teacher left NO directions for me what so ever. Ususally they leave worksheets, a video, etc. Nothing. I found her lesson plan book and saw what they should be working on, so I actually taught a lesson and assigned homework. You know how terrible I am at Math. I did surprisingly well. It was dealing with slope (rise/run) which I actually understand really well. Everyone seemed to understand the lesson and a few kids said something along the line of "Can you teach all of the lessons? Mrs. So-and-so is a BAD teacher and I don't get it". Quite flattering.

I'm loving Chris Daughtry's CD, "Daughtry" It's so good. Slightly rock-ish, mostly just great songs. I totally could picture hearing this on the radio....I wish they'd start playing it.

I started working on Christmas gifts this weekend. Emma and Meaghan are getting zig zag books that I made. I'll leave spaces for them to put pictures, but I'm decorating with some fun quotes, and embellishments, etc. Should be super cute once it's done.

Must rub to school now....yuck.

OOH! How about that OU game, huh? My dad has tickets to the Big 12 game this weekend.....should be fun!

A New look

I hope your Thanksgiving was awesome. Mine was great. Everything turned out really good...except for the fact that I got drunk off my ass (this was after dinner though).

I got my hair cut and colored and it's super wonderful. It's blonde and shorter and very cute. I'll try to get some pictures of it up this weekend...no promises though.

Jessica is coming over tonight and we're going to go see Stranger Than Fiction with Will Ferrell. It looks really funny. I love Will Ferrell.

I've got a killer headache right now so I need to go take some Excedrin before I go out so I'm not cranky tonight.

11.22.2006

Two posts today!!! Aren't you lucky....

I found time in my busy schedule to give you two posts in one day! I'm nothing like Kim, she made 3 posts a few days ago, what a treat!

I got my hair cut and colored today. I'm wearing it different now and not flipped out. It's straight and down, it's very cute. I just hope I can replicate it tomorrow morning. Don't you hate it when you get your hair done and it's super cute and then once you get home you can't make it look good? I know I hate when that happens. So, please keep your fingers crossed that I have good luck with it tomorrow.

We're taking our Christmas pictures tomorrow! It's going to be so exciting! I love having my picture taken. I'm such a cheeseball for the camera.

I can't wait to get my hands on the newspaper tomorrow morning. I love looking at the ads. I just can't control myself. I don't plan on going shopping on Friday, but it's fun to look. I prefer to stay home and be safe. There are entirely too many crazies out shopping.

There might not be time for a post tomorrow, so if not, have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!

*yawn* Good Morning!

Have you ever watched the Megan Mulally Show? I like her better as Karen on Will and Grace. As for a talk show host....not so much.

I have absolutely no plans for today. I'm going to hang out and be lazy today. I'll probably scrapbook for a while. I need to make some Christmas presents for some lucky ladies....so maybe I'll do that today.

Have you been to Sephora at Penn Square Mall? Oh my goodness! It's fantastic!!! It's a make up lovers paradise.

Do you remember Chris Daughtry from American Idol? He was the bald rocker guy. His CD came out yeaterday and I bought it! It's really good. I'm loving it.

Okay, I need to go take a shower. I'ts 11:20 and I'm still in my pajamas. Must be productive today....maybe I'll knock out some Christmas shopping....maybe....

11.21.2006

Yay for Thanksgiving break!

Had my economics test today. I left feeling really bad about it, but I've been going over the answers (we get to keep the tests) and I've been looking over the test and back to the book trying to figure out how I did.

I went to the liquor store and got some wine tonight and some of those little tiny bottles. I decided to try Hypnotique (at Matt's suggestion) and it's *so* good. Yummy!

I've been watching that new show "3lbs." and it's good. I like it a lot. It's about a brain surgeon and his patients. It's got Stanley Tucci in it. I like him.

So stinkin tired right now....but I want to do something fun. My sister is seeing James Bond tonight.

I think some soup sounds so good right now. I love Minnestrone soup, but potato soup is my favorite. I had some chicken enchilada soup from Chili's To-Go for lunch today. SO good!

Okay, this was pretty random...which must mean that me brain is tired and I need some sleep. Later!

11.20.2006

I *heart* Norman

I am so excited about transferring to Norman. Seriously....can not wait. I'm anxious to see what I get in my classes this semester as well. I'm hoping and praying for good things. Luckily, if I retake Child Psychology and Math, it should bump my GPA up by a LOT! So, I shouldn't have a problem.

That said, I had to completely re-arrange my schedule for next semester. I'm now taking Child Psychology, Math, Accounting and Business Law. Just 12 hours. I even dropped my fun Dallas Study tour because even though it would be a super easy A, it just won't even help me at OU. Emma and Meaghan are not going to be happy about that.

Have I told you about my friend, Austin? Okay, Austin is 23 or 24 and I met him in my Microeconomics class last semester. We sat by eachother and had a friendly competition going on all semester about who would have the highest grade. Anyway, we took macroeconomics together this semester to continue the grade war. I'm winning, by the way. Anyway, he's going to OU next semester to study Energy Management. So, I called him this afternoon and told him that I was going to transfer to OU to do Energy Management too. We're pretty excited to have the same major and we'll probably take most of our classes together which will be awesome so we'll know someone AND we'll have an automatic study buddy. How freakin sweet is that? Awesome, I know.

Okay, I have an Economics test tomorrow and I must go study so I can beat Austin on the test.

11.18.2006

Love to Shop!

Went shopping this afternoon with my sister. I got 4 great sweaters at New York and Company. You want to see them? Okay...

http://www.nyandcompany.com/nyco/browse/product_detail_with_picker.jsp?productId=prod10005 I got this one in red and black and another sweater in pink and snow white. It's super cute.

Going back to Norman on Monday and I'm going to look as cute as can be.

Did you know that the National Dog Show is on tv on Thanksgiving? I want to watch it. I love dogs!

Okay, I'm going to watch Dateline "To Catch a Predator". Some people are so stinkin dumb.

11.17.2006

Don't sweat the small stuff...

Life is full of big exciting things. Don't get wrapped over the little details. It's not worth it.

Went to 7ML today and got some fantastic treats! How about the new transparency 4x6 overlays? Super cute. I bought about a gazillion of them. The new Basic Grey Christmas line? Yup, got that too. Lots of cute stuff. *sigh* I love that place.

Going Christmas shopping tomorrow with my sister. Should be lots of fun. Monday I'm going to Norman and she's going to go to the Price School of Business with me to get advised. I'm getting super excited about Energy Management. So stinkin cool.

I spent the evening at home and baked cookies tonight. Yum. I love home made cookies. They're a million times better than store bought cookies.

Matt called me this moring around 10:00...

Matt: Hey. What are you doing?
Me: Oh not a lot, just blow drying my hair. What are you up to?
Matt: Nothing, just laying in bed. Did you get my text?
Me: Um, no. I've been in the shower and messing with the blow dryer, so I probably didn't hear it. Why?
Matt: Well, what are you doing between 2 and 3 today?
Me: I'm subbing. Why?
Matt: I was going to see if you could take me to the airport.
Me: Um, I can take you there at 11:30, but I have to be at the high school at noon.
Matt: Oh, okay, well, I'll check with a few other people. You were just my first choice.
Me: Oh, okay. Well, sorry. Have fun in Denver.
Matt: Thanks, bye.
Me: Bye!

Okay, I think that's pretty much it for today. Hopefully, I'll have more good stuff to post tomorrow. Later!

11.16.2006

Today and a bit of Survivor talk

Survivor and Grey's Anatomy tonight! Yay! So excited about that.

School was great today. I got an 88 on my Management test. Woo hoo! For the class I have an 85.5 with 4 tests down, we still have 2 homeworks to do and 2 more tests, plus we get points for attendance and participation. So, there's a good possibility that I could get an A. I didn't go to Sales Management because I had Economics homework to do and I went to my Economics professor's office to get some help with a graph I had to do. Problems of Today's Consumers was pretty boring. we watched a video about insurance and then talked for a little while about it. We don't have that class next Tuesday, so I'm going to take my Economics test during that time so I can leave early. In Economics today my professor, Kyle, brought his son. His name is Kellen and he's 6 and just the cutest kid ever. He drew me a picture when I was visiting for office hours and during class he sat by me and make me a card with a heart and a happy face. Too cute.

I'm subbing tomorrow at the high school teaching history for my old history teacher. I *love* him. He's the best, so I'm extra excited about subbing for him.

Okay, I'll end this with a survivor prediction....leaving us will be Rebecca and.....Jenny? I think that's her name.....final two prediction...Yul and Ozzy.

11.14.2006

Here comes Santa Claus

So excited about Christmas! It's just around the corner.

So, my sister works at at a restaurant on Meridian right now. Well, she's thinking about quitting and going to the new location on I-240. This awesome guy, John, is managing it. John is badass. He's the best. Anyway, she said that they still need to hire lots of people, so I think I'm going to apply. I love substitute teaching, but I'm just not making any money doing it. I might start off as a hostess, or maybe just go straight to a waitress. I need to talk to John and see what he says. I know my sis makes big $$, (she can easily make $100 a night) So...we'll see.

11.12.2006

Tag Swap

Participating in my first EVER tag swap. The swap has a Christmas theme, hence the cute Christmasy stuff. The one that says, "family" is actually covered in fabric, (my first time playing with fabric on paper) and it turned out SO cute. I especially love the pink ones with the lime green Heidi Swapp letters. I think the color is gross, even though I *love* lime green, it's just an off color gree to me, but it looks GREAT with that paper. Loves it!

11.11.2006

Brrr!!!

It's cold today!

Went to Kingfisher and Hennessey with my mom and a few ladies she works with. So fun. We hit a few craft shows and just hang out. Good times.

I babysat for some neighbors tonight, they have 3 girls, ages 12, 5 and 3. We had a great time and I made $50 for just watching their kids for 4 hours. AWESOME. The 12 year old was pretty independent. She didn't require too much attention and spent most of the evening in her room watching tv.

I had to get up early this morning, so tomorrow, I'm sleeping in ALL day. No plans for me, just going to be a lazy bum and scrapbook all afternoon.

Exciting news. My mom has to work on Thanksgiving so I AM IN CHARGE of "the meal". How awesome is that? I watched Rachael Ray make Thanksgiving in an hour last night, so I can totally do it. I'm scared shitless, but if I can do Thanksgiving, then I can conquer any culinary challenge that will EVER face me. Awesomeness.

Hello, goodbye

Substitute teaching tomorrow at the Middle School. So excited. It's going to be awesome. 8th graders are cool.

I got some new ice cream. It's coffee ice cream with chocolate covered almonds and fudge swirled in. SO good. It's by Starbucks. So get some....in the ice cream section at Wal-Mart.

My puppy Maggie is fast asleep by me right now and my other puppy, Susie is asleep at my feet.

My mom is going to be in the Mercy Hospital holiday commercial. I'm so excited for her. I've been bugging her to do it for a few years now, so she's finally going to do it. Good for her. So, keep your eyes peeled. I think it's so cool how it's all of their employees in it singing. Love that!

School today was awesome. Meaghan, Emma and I decided not to go to Management today. Our professor is old and can't pronounce half of the words on his power points. He's cool, but kinda boring. Sales Management was great. I love my professor in there. He's coming on the Dallas Study tour and it'll be fun to see him out of "teacher mode". I should be getting my book report back in Problems of Consumer's class back next Tuesday. I hope I did well on it. Economics was great today too. Austin was back in class today. It was *so* good to see him. I missed him. So, my Economics buddy is back ! Horray!

Watching the end of "Prime" right now. Not my favorite movie, but it's on, so I'm watching it. I'm not a big Meryl Streep fan...

Okay...going to bed now....I'm a middle schooler tomorrow...except for the fact that I can drive and I'm way cooler. *ha ha....wishful thinking*

Enjoy!

11.08.2006

What a great day!

Had so much fun today with Kim and Kensington! We ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then went to 7 Minutes Later. Speaking of 7 Minutes Later...while we were there today Corinne said something again about me working there. That's SO awesome. I would absolutely love to work there.

What a fantastic day. Now, only one more day of school this week....

what happened?

...so dissappointed with the elections last night....

WHAT were they thinking?

I love weekends!

Yay for the weekend!

I'm going to El Reno tomorrow with my mom. We're going crafting. Other than that, no big plans. I want to scrapbook all weekend. Look for pictures of my projects coming soon!

Oh, and apparently Matt has a girlfriend after a day?!?! What the heck? I'm still his friend, but he's out of his mind if he thinks I'm going to put up with this. Just not worth it.

I'm subbing at the Middle schools this next week (except for Wednesday! Horray for lunch with Kim!)

Gotta visit the Hanson message boards and see what's happening over there....peace out!

11.02.2006

How sweet it is...

So, I came home today and guess what was waiting for me in my Inbox? An email from Matt. Interesting. I knew the good 'ol silent treatment would work....ya just have to give it time. He missed me, I know it. So, anyway we're talking again.

Horray! Survivor and Grey's Anatomy tonight. Yay!

11.01.2006

Happy First Day of November!

November 1st! *sigh* I love it!

So, I'm pretty sure Matt and I aren't talking. Not really sure why...I invited him to come to Norman with me on Monday and he said he couldn't because he was "too busy". But yet, while I'm down there he's sending me pictures of him and Sean on my phone then he suggested that I was boring. So...he's too busy to go to Norman with me, but not too busy for Sean? I don't get it. Therefore, while I was in Norman I met up with my friend Jeromee and we took lots of cute pictures just to prove that I wasn't boring.

Anyway, I think he was jealous. Then he told me something about having a date with a girl. I asked what her name was and he called me nosy. So, this "nosy" lady is staying out. I haven't talked to him since Monday night. When he wants to get over it, he knows where to find me.

I finished my book report today. It's really good!

And, for the icing on the cake, I got a 92 on my Sales Management test! YAY!

10.30.2006

A is for Awesome

Today is my parent's 25th wedding anniversary! That is Awesome! Congratulations mom and dad!

I think Matt and I got in a fight last night. I'm not exactly sure, all I know is that I felt like crap after talking to him. But then he said, "Okay, I'll talk to you tomorrow". So, if we were fighitng surely he wouldn't talk to me then. Gosh! I don't know! Grr!

I'm subbing at the Mid-High today in an Oklahoma History class. I love history! This should be great fun!

10.29.2006

Sunday is Fun Day!

The internship turned out to be not what I expected. I think I'll stick to subbing for now. Although I did apply for a Marketing internship with the Blazers.

I went to OBA yesterday to watch Matt's band play. They placed 8th. I thought they did a fantastic job. I'm supposed to be receiving a massage from Mr. Matt today. He called me at 2 this morning. I was fast asleep, I woke up and talked to him for a while. It felt like I was on the phone for a really long time, but when I checked my phone this morning it was only 3 minutes. How crazy is that? I have no concept of time when I'm tired.

I'm in the mood to cook today. I might make my famous "sausage, peppers and onions". Yum-O!
I'm on the hunt for Orzo pasta. I saw Rachael Ray make some orzo and it looked amazing. If you find some, call me!

10.25.2006

Internships...

Had an interview yesterday for a Marketing job...."Producer/Office Assistant" It went decent. I liked the company. Today was amazing though. I had an interview for an internship at a Sports and Entertainment Marketing Agency. It was awesome. The President of the company interviewed me and 2 guys at the same time. It went very well. He believes that the employees should be OUT in the field meeting people and making connections, which means not a lot of office time. I really liked that. I want to be OUT seeing how things work, and not be just stuck behind a desk. I should hear something back tonight between 7 and 8. So, please keep your fingers crossed and say a little prayer for me.

10.22.2006

About last night...

Yesterday was fun. I went to The Affiar of the Heart with my mom. I bought a few little trinkets. Then I came home and just hung out, made dinner and was a lazy bum all afternoon. Around 8:30 I decided that I was in the mood to bake (I was watching the Food Network) and decided to make a cake. I was talking to Matt online and he said, "Make me a cake!" So, I made a german chocolate cake and went to Matt's. Our friend Sean was there, and I haven't seen Sean since we graduated. Sean was pretty much wasted by the time I got there. I drank 2 beers and then we ran out, so we all piled into Matt's Jetta (Matt hadn't been drinking yet) and we made a run to 7-11 to get some more. I bought a 24oz Bud Light. The boys bought 12 packs. I'm not a big drinker, so after 2 regular size beers and the JUMBO Bud Light I was feeling it, big time. I handed over my keys (because drinking and driving is NOT cool) and hung out.

We played some video game that Matt had (I lost, of course). Then we were messing around with Facebook and MySpace and watched Scary Movie and Love Actually. Then Matt and I decided to take silly pictures, which were SO fun! I need to get him to upload them so I can see them. We have the funniest picture where we're picking each others noses. Slightly, gross, yes, but really fun. Then we have a picture with our surprised faces on. Cute stuff. He went out with that girl yesterday, but he said it didn't go well. After all, he was home by like, 8:30. So...that couldn't have been good. Anyway, he was really flirty last night. We got into about a million tickle fights and battled to the death with a hackey sack. I totally tried to hit him in the balls with it and then he ran and takcled me onto his bed and attacked me until I almost peed my pants. Fun times. I sobered up and left around 5:00am. I slept until noon today and to be honest, I could still sleep some more.

Jessica is on her way over and we're going to plan our trip....we're thinking about a cruise.

10.21.2006

I'll show you mine if you show me yours....

Scrap space, silly!

There is nothing I love more than spending countless hours in my scrapbook "studio". I feel weird calling it a studio. I hear studio and I think super artsy...mod decor. Mine is pretty much just a big room filled with scrapbook goodies and trinkets. However, it's MINE and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

So, without further ado, here is my scrap space.

My table is 6 feet long. It's got 4 Rubbermaid 12x12 paper trays (2 are stacked on top of eachother) The one on the left has paper in it (reds and pinks together, oranges and yellows together, greens, blues and purples together, blacks, browns and whites together and the bottom tray is scraps of any color). The Rubbermaid stackable drawers on the right have embellishments in them. Heidi Swapp Silk flowers, buttons, die cuts, beads. They also hold my eyelet setter, and Making Memories stamps. The grey bars on the wall, those are my favorite, they're metal and I have heavy duty magnets holding pictures, cards and letters, a Ziploc bag filled with stamps. My Sizzix Machine is on the desk too along with small metal buckets that I found at Target for $1 (They're filled with Foof-a-la buttons!

Next is the Wall of Great Things. First, you'll see my fridge. (Filled with bottled water, Coke, Root Beer and Bud Light) My mom found this AMAZING shelf and bought it for $5!
Top row has random things I've made, and mason jars filled with ribbon, along with 7 bottles of Prima flowers. I've got little bottles of paint, glitter, my heat embossing gun, 4 shelves of ribbon and ric rac, 2 shelves of wooden mounted stamps and 1 self of the clear stamps, 3 shelves full of chipboard letters and other little chipboard decorations, 2 shelves with rub ons. I love those blank books from 7 Gypsies. I've got about 4 shelves of naked books just begging for me to decorate them. Also, I've got a few shelves of stickers, organzied by (alphabet, designer, and theme)

That's it! Hope you enjoyed it and if you want to come over and scrap....you just let me know!

My latest project...

I'm making a window for my friend Meaghan to give to her sister for Christmas. It's super cute! I love it! Here's a picture! THe main colors are pink and goldish brown.

i am here to live out loud

Tulsa was great. My dad had to work up there today, so I tagged along and drove the Equinox and we had a great time. We delivered a laminator at a preschool and then delivered some film at "Wee Ministries" Super cute! We stopped at this little mexican restaurant in Okmulgee for lunch. Yum yum! They had the BEST tamales!

Of course, a trip to Tulsa would not be complete without a stop by Scraphappy's. I loaded up! *See picture* Lots of nice treats from 7 Gypsies, My Mind's Eye, Heidi Swapp and ATC Collections. I'm madly in love with the ATC collection paper pads from Memories In The Making. Just wonderful. They're these little pads of 40 papers about the size of your drivers license. They've got lots of cute vintage people in them. So wonderful. Ideas have been dancing through my head all afternoon! I'm also drooling over the 7 Gypsies 97% Certifiable Seal Stamps. The one I bought just has the blank lines so I can journal on them. SO wonderful. I can't wait to play with it!

Tomorrow is full of fun things! First, I'll be doing paperwork for my dad's business, then we're going to get the windows tinted on my Equinox and finally we're going to the Mustang football game tomorrow night against PC West. Busy day!

Jess is coming over tonight and we're going to see Man of The Year with Robin Williams. It looks pretty funny, so I hope it's good! Then we're probably going to get a few drinks.

I almost forgot! On Monday my dad and I went to the gun range and I learned how to shoot guns! So exciting and exhilerating! I was actually a really good shot. I'll post a picture of that too!
Wow! This was a long post! I'm off to be a carefree college student and enjoy my fally break!

10.16.2006

Lovely, you're always lovely.....

Some days Dr. Phil really gets on my last nerve, but today I actually like him. He did a show today about run away teens. Very interesting stuff.

Subbing was good today. I had a few naughty kids, but they were easily taken care of with a time out. There is nothing more humiliating for high school kids than a time out. Love that.

I went to Matt's house last night and played video games with him for a few hours. No alcohol for us this time, we both had to teach today, so we were responsible. I totally kicked his butt last night. We played some race car game and I wasted him. Life is good.

I've mentioned it before, but I love the OAR song, "Love and Memories" it's SUCH a good song!

I think I'll ask a few professors tomorrow where I go to look for a Marketing internship for the summer. Surely the school gets stuff like that and has internship positions for students. I want a fun fun internship where I can get excited about work. Yay!

10.15.2006

Fall Break

So, the date with Ryan didn't happen. I went to Riverwind Casino with Leslie, Cara and Leslie's 4 aunts. I played blackjack and then, left with Jessica. Then, I went to Matt's house and drank and played video games. Fun times.

I'm subbing tomorrow at the high school, SO excited. I love subbing at the high school the best. Those are my favorite kids.

I have a Management test Tuesday. It's open book. Yay! I can't wait for Fall Break. I have no plans, I just want to hang out and be a lazy college kid. Maybe I'll run to Tulsa for the day. Hmm...we'll see.

10.13.2006

Today is the day...

and I'm nervous as hell. I have class this afternoon from 3-5. Then I have to run to the grocery store and get some chicken and a few other odds and ends. Then, it's time to go to Ryan's house. Life is so confusing....things I want, things I don't want...do I honestly have the time and energy to devote to someone else? It's selfish, I know, but I have a lot of other things going on. School, work, and I've got about 2 window projects I've been working on. Plus, I need to find an internship for the summer. So, the main question is....do I have time?

My friend Jessica is getting married tomorrow, so I can't stay out too late tonight.

10.11.2006

ooh la la

So, I've got a date Friday night with the fabulous Mr. Ryan. Shuld be lots of fun. Leslie and I ran up to Edmond last night and we hung out with Ryan at his apartment for a while. It's a complete bachelor pad. I'm cooking dinner on Friday night at his apartment. Then we're watching a movie. Oh, and I'm making him clean. The way I see it, if I'm going to be spending time over there, it's going to be clean. Anyway, it should be lots of fun. Leslie LOVED him! So, that's good

I subbed in PE today. We played Dodgeball. Fun stuff....dodgeball rocks.

10.10.2006

Rain rain, go away....

I re-read the post below and realized that it didn't make much sense. Therefore, let me explain:

When I want to make someone mad, I call them selfish. Nobody likes to be called selfish. So, apparently someone made me mad and I said they were selfish and then bragged to Jeromee about how I said they were selfish. So he tried it and apparently it works. Sweet.

I talked to Ryan last night. He's super nice. I think we're going out Saturday. Although, I'll be in Edmond Friday night for my class that only meets like 3 times the semester, so I might talk to him and see if Friday would be good. We'll see though. Friday is only like, 3 days away. I'm super super nervous.

Should be rainy today. *boo* I hate the rain. Especially when I have to walk in it on my way to class. Ick.

Tomorrow I'm subbing at Trails for the PE teacher. *Stop laughing* I'm totally the most unathletic person ever. This should be interesting...

I can't wait to come home and take a nap this afternoon. I'm SO tired. Enjoy your day!

10.09.2006

rainy day...

My friend Jeromee, he's so funny. He said this today, "SOOO I remember this one time a long time ago when you said that to really make someone mad you should call them selfish. So I did that today and it worked."
Jeromee cracks me up. He's my first friend I met when I went to OU my freshman year of college.

Good day!

If you can not be the poet; be the poem

Good morning my loyal readers...well, just Kim since she's the only that ever leaves comments.

Jessica and I went out last night. I called her around 10pm and wanted to go do something...ice cream cones, drinks, just something. She came over and we went to Chili's and got drinks and dessert. *yum* This was the first time they didn't check our ID's. I mean, we're both 21. But usually when I order a drink I always get carded. Maybe it's just a sign that we're getting older.

I talked to "him" last night while I was out with Jess. I sent a text message to him and about or 3 minutes later he called. We talked for 10-15 minutes. He's going to call me on Monday and "maybe we can hang out this week". *yay* SO exciting.

I'm watching "Jerry Maguire" right now. I love that movie. Especially that little boy....he's so darn cute!

10.06.2006

Come to what life may bring you

What a day! I wasn't supposed to sub until 11:30 today, but the school called this morning and asked if I could come in early and fill in for a 4th grade teacher. I obliged and the rest of the day is history.

No big plans for tomorrow. I might run by the scrapbook store, but I'm not sure.

Have some new potential on the Great American Boyfriend Hunt. I met him at school....nice guy. I don't want to post too much just in case things don't work out...just keep your fingers crossed for me.

Enjoy your weekend!

Vertigo

Do you ever feel like there's just so much going on at once? School, work, finding an internship, picking out classes for next semester, mid-terms coming up, ahhh...make it all stop...or at least slow down!

I can't believe mid-terms are coming up! Scary as hell! In case you haven't heard, I changed my major to just Marketing. I dropped the Education part. I want to have some actual experience in the Marketing field before I teach. Plus, if I am able to find a job that I enjoy and it pays well, then I might forget the teacher thing all together. I really have this urge to just go out there and get a REAL marketing job....promotions, advertising, I want to do it all. I want to move...Tulsa preferrably and get a job at a museum, music/entertinment venue, radio station, hospital, just some place where I can do some marketing. I'm super creative...how many people do you know that make up songs to remember how to figure the unemployment rate, steps in the hiring process or the different forms of management. *Yes, I'm just THAT talented*

I'm re-evaluating things in my life right now....just trying to take a step back and get things in line so that I can make myself a better person. I fully believe that to be great you must surround yourself with great people. I do my best thinking when I'm driving and right now I have a major urge to get in my vehicle and just drive and drive and drive. I've got some decisions I need to make involving people in my life and the time I might want to invest in certain relationships. Why must this be so complicated?

"In the absence of a vision, there can be no clear and consistant focus. In the absence of a dream, there can be no renewal of hope. In the absence of philosophy, there can be no real meaning to work and to life itself." - Joe Batten

10.01.2006

4 day weekend! *woo*

Having a fun weekend? I ran some errands yesterday...Hobby Lobby, Garden Ridge, Penn Square Mall. Then I came home and worked on a book I'm making for my sister for her Birthday tomorrow. We're feuding right now, but it would be extremely rude to not get her something for her 20th birthday, so I decided to make her something.

I have an Economics test on Tuesay. I'm not working tomorrow so I can study for it. I'm hoping I do well. I got an A in my micro class last semester...I just hope I can pull an A or a B in my macro class this fall.

My litte puppy Susie is sick. She hasn't been feeling well. I gave her lots of love yesterday and she's been hanging aorund snuggling with me this morning. She's wonderful.

Happily Ever After

You know how when you're a teenager you love a certain band? For me, it was Hanson. I think it was the fact that they're from Oklahoma like me, or maybe it was just the fact that they're just down to earth guys. Anyway, I've been a Hanson fan since 1997. I've met them 3 times and been to a gazillion shows. They're awesome, very kind and willing to sign every last autograph and meet their fans. Taylor got married in 2002, Zac got married in June and Isaac is getting married Saturday. It wasn't that big of a deal when Taylor and Zac got married because there was always, "another one" that was single. But now...there aren't any more single ones....well, technically their little brother is single, but he's like 15 and dating a 15 year old is generally forwned upon, not to mention really creepy. Anyway, Isaac has always been my "favorite"....he's simple and kind of quiet, similar to me. Anyway, with that said, Congratulations Isaac and Nikki, hope you live happily ever after.

In honor of that, let me post my favorite picture. I worked at Frontier City from 2001 to 2005. Hanson came in 2004 and I got to be their personal assistant...SO FUN! Anyway, I could get people back to meet them, so my mom wanted to meet them and that's how this picture came about. Enjoy!

JACKPOT!

Look what I found! How amazing are these windows? I'm loving them so much! I was on the search for these windows ever since I took that great class on Saturday. I found an old man who had 6 of these and I bought every single one! So gorgeous! I adore the ones with the half circle at the top!

9.23.2006

Look what I made!!

Photo courtesy of the amazing Kim Haynes. I know you're going to be *so* jealous! I made this today at 7 Minutes Later. Isn't is amazing? I'm in love with it. I'm going to wrap in it a blanket and sleep with it tonight. *Okay...maybe that's a bit too extreme* On my way home I stopped at the hospital to show my mom (she's working a double today). Then I came home and showed my dad. He was as excited as a man could get about pictures, ribbons and buttons.

I'm taking another window class October 28th! I have a lot of ideas for this one. My mom wants me to make one for her bedroom with greens and purples. I also think a Christmas one would be gorgeous, but you could only display it from November -January. I've got about a month to get some new pictures and ideas, but you know me, I'll probably do all of that the week before...I'm such a procrastinator.

9.10.2006

I guess we'll never know...exactly where this River's gonna flow

So, Taylor Hanson had a baby. It's a little boy named River. It's a cute name. Congrats to the Hanson family.

It's a gorgeous weekend here in Oklahoma. I love days like this. Not too hot, not too cold, just gorgeous. Loves it.

I'm probably going to scrapbook today. I need to work on my Las Vegas album, however, I need to get my pictures printed first. I might run to Wal-Mart and do that today.

I'm taking a scrapbook class on the 23rd. It's a window class with Kim Haynes. Basically you have a vintage window and you put paper and photos in it and hang it on your wall. It's going to be so stinkin cute. I need to take pictures of my famiy and my puppies so I can bring them with me to the class and use them in my window.

Okay, I must go do something productive since it's so gorgeous outside.

9.05.2006

all this time you were pretending...

School was great today. Nothing really exciting happened. I stayed late in my economics class to discuss politics with my professor. We had a good time. Came home and took a nap.

I'm subbing tomrrow. It's wonderful

9.03.2006

You're just what I needed

So, since I have last posted school has started. I like my classes, they're pretty good. I know someone in eaech of them, so that's nice. I'm just ready for the weather to cool down and for fall to get here.

Jessica and I are going shopping today. I need to find some cute shirts and maybe a pair of khaki pants. I've been trying to be careful with my money, since I'm not making as much anymore. Now that I work for the schools, I only get paid once a month. But I've got enough that I should be fine.

My sister and I aren't speaking. I'm not going to go into detail here, she's just not worth it.

I'm going to start working on my Las Vegas scrapbook this weekend. Maybe I'll do that this afternoon.

8.17.2006

Back to school

Mustang kids go back to school tomorrow. I remember those fun back to school jitter bugs. I couldn't sleep before the first day of school. Those were the fun times.

I'm a sub for the school district this year. I picked up the first shift today, Sept 22nd, I'll be the Art teacher. How fun is that? It could only get better if I could sub for Jake's class, or even better for the teacher next door to Jake's class so I could see him all day!

Later

8.14.2006

Cheater, cheater

So...lots of little things going on. I don't have to be at work until 1:15 tomorrow. Horray.

I also found out that my uncle has been cheating on my aunt for like, 5 years. She found out June 15th. So, they're getting a divorce. My uncle is really quiet and my aunt is a complete psycho. Still, it makes me sad that I probably won't ever see him again.

Whitey moves out tomorrow and into her new apartment. She's so excited. I'm excited for her. Should make for good times.

So, she's also setting me up with this guy she works with...should be interesting. She gave im my phone number Thursday night. No phone call yet...so, we'll see how that goes.

Going to bed...night.

So....bj called. Well, I'massuming it's BJ. Then again..you know what happens when you assume.
He invited me to a party tonight. I don't know if I'm going to go to it or not. Probably not though. However, if I do see him, I have to make sure I look damn good. Apparently he lives in Yukon now....weird. I'm not sure if he's lying or not.

So, my new car is fantastic. I love it bunches. I've had it for 3 weeks and it's got 1,000 miles on it! *eek*

Well, better run. Just wanted to say hi.

7.07.2006

...so blessed...

Let me just say, I love my family.

My dad is one of 7 kids. I have tons of cousins and aunts and uncles and we're all loud! We all live hundreds of miles away from eachother and we had a big reunion in several years. All of my cousins are grown up and have their own little seperate lives and new family units after they've gotten married. It's so cute.

Everyone has their own quirks and funny stories but gosh, over these past 3 days it's made me realize that THIS is what it's all about. It's about the good times laughing with family, watergun fights, trips to the zoo, huge italian lasagna meals, and lots and lots of beer. *ha ha*. I swear, there must be aorund 50 people here for my cousin's wedding. I have LOTS of pictures to scrapbook with and I am so excited to get to work finishing the wedding album I made for Jane and Jake.

Anyway, I feel like a new person right now. I know it sounds corny, but being around my family is so....humbling. I feel extremely blessed to have such an amazing and inspiring family. God put me in the right place.

The wedding is tomorrow and I am so excited to watch them get married! It's going to be great!

Much love!

Manage your expectations

Hi everyone.

Just wanted to pop in for a quick hello.

I love the new show How to Get the Guy. Very funny. Cery cute and lots of good pointers for landing your perfect man.

Haven't seen my cute teacher yet this week. Although he did wave to me last week when he was at the ATM. *giggle*

My cousin's wedding is in a week and a half! Eek! This week is the time to eat healthy and get gorgeous! Lots of water, not junk food. *ignore those M&M's I was just nibbling on*

Our new assistant manager is awesome. He rocks. He's 45, but doesn't act like it. He's just very very cool. Alright. time to put on the moisturizer and self tanner. Wish me luck and no streaks.

6.13.2006

In the future where will I be?

Hi.

Do you ever just feel like you need to have a master plan for your life? I'm so distraught about school. I'll get my major in General Studies and then apply for alternative certification. I just hope and pray that I'll be able to get the letters and other matierials necessary to apply. On the other hand, I truly believe in my heart that God wants me to be a teacher. I've wanted to be a teacher since I was 6 years old. I remember getting extra worksheets from my teacher in 1st grade so I could go home and play school with my sister. All these people I know are graduating college and getting teaching jobs and I'm so jealous.

I talked to a lady I know about substituting this school year. I'm pretty excited about it. I know a lot of teachers so I'll let them know I'm an available substitute and maybe they'll call me to substitute! Wouldn't that be fun?

All I know is that I'm meant to be a teacher and no matter what I will be one.

Goodnight!

5.28.2006

Take me out to the ball game....

What an eventful weekend it has been!

I got off work and came home to change because we had tickets to the Big 12 Baseball game at the Bricktown Ball park yesterday. It was a Nebraska/Texas game and what an exciting game it was. WAY more exciting than RedHawks games. More players on base, the fans were great and everything. The weather was fantastic and it was so fun.

So, we're at the game, Nebraska is at bat and I turned to tell my dad something and BAM! A Nebraska player hit a foul ball and it flew up to our suite's balcony and hit me smack in the left eye. I don't remember going back into the suite ro anything, but a RedHawks lady was there and was hollering for someone to get EMSA up to our suite. So, moments later EMSA is there and I've got ice packs on my eye. My mom is crying. The Paramedic is talking to another paramedic saying how bad it is and that I need to go to the hospital. So, I was escorted downstairs by two very nice EMSA men and then I was on my way to the Mercy Emergency room. While I was there I had a CatScan and something else done. The ER doctor had to get my contact our of my eye, but since I couuldn't open my eye, he had to get a male nurse in there to pry my eye open. AFter about 4 attempts, he got the contact out and had to do like, 3 tests on my eye. They don't think my face is fractured, but since my eye is so swollen, they're not sure if I have any eye damage. 4 hours later, I was back at home with some Loritab.

Hopefully the rest of the weekend will be far less eventful. To be honest, I'm very self conscious about my face. The entire left side is swollen and hard. I've got some slight bruising, but once the swelling goes down then my entire left side of my face is goin to bruise, according to the doctor. I'm quite scared about going to work especially since I work at a busy bank. I don't want people staring at me and thinking I'm deformed.

My mom, sister and I are getting pedicures tomorrow, so that wil be nice.

5.24.2006

What about my heart?

Listening to "She's Out There" by The Hero Factor. Amazing. I love them. They're a local band from Tulsa and wow, pure brilliance.

So work was good. I went in at 11 and came home around 2:45. Nice. I wish all of my days were like that. Sweetness. Came home, took a nap and then went out with Jessica. Lots of fun. Poor girl, slammed her thumb in the car door at Wal-Mart, so I had to drive her car back to my house while she was nursing her wound.

American Idol was fantastic. Taylor won and that makes me so happy. I love watching him perform. He just gets out there and has a good time.

So tomorrow night Whitney my mom and I are going to get manicures and pedicures. My work is having a call night tomorrow night where everyone has to stay until 8:00. I have a problem with this. The way I look at it, I've met my sales goals. I shouldn't have to stay to make phone calls when I've been doing my job. Period. I hate having to pick up the slack of the other people I work with. Now, I would get overtime for the 3 hours I have to stay late, but I would much rather have a mani and pedi than make phone calls soliciting to people while they're trying to have dinner and spend time with their families.

5.23.2006

Oh I wish...

So, the cute school teacher came by yesterday. I didn't get to help him, but I did get to see him. Then, today he came by again to make a deposit. We talked for a little bit and teased eachother. He made fun of me because I was having problems with the tubes and getting them to send and he said, "Geez Holly. You don't know how to work these." But he had on these aviator sunglasses. So, of course I said, "Hey nice glasses, those were cool back in 1982". So we traded jabs and laughs.

Ah. so so so cute. So nice.

I have a theory that he's come by to see me the past 2 days, that just means he wants me. SO bad!

5.18.2006

Man of my dreams

Have you ever seen "The Other Sister"? It's a super cute movie. Love it!

So I saw the cute school teacher today. He's so so nice. I like him a lot. He asked me how finals went and then I talked to him for a bit. Gosh! He's just so stinkin nice. I want to go out with him so bad. I like him a lot.

So so so cute.

Geez, I need a boyfriend.

It looks hot, it looks dry...it looks like...SUMMERTIME!

Good morning!

Ah, I don't have to be at work until 10:15. Nice.

Where have all the cute boys gone? Geez. I haven't gotten to see the cute school teacher or the cute dentist in the past 2 days! Grrr. I'd prefer to see the cute school teacher. Even though, I heard through the grapevine that he has a girlfriend. Grr.

So, Leslie and I hung out last night. It was so good to see her. We went out to the mall and to Barnes and Noble for a while. I had to pick up a birthday present for a co-worker. Fun times.

Alright, I must go and iron my clothes for work. I should be pretty cute today. Very bohemian chic.

5.15.2006

I Live Strong

Does anyone actually read this? I'm thinking no.

So work was pretty stressful today. I'm so so sick of feeling like I'm the only person doing any work around here. It's so frustrating. So, I'm taking to a customer today who happened to be a former teacher of mine and we're chatting for a minute AT THE MOST, and Melissa says, "Holly, you need to get back to work and help the cusomters in the drive." So, I go and help back there and Maggie, Melissa and Melissa are just goofing off laughing and having a jolly good time. First they're not being professional and seconsly they weren't even helping any customers. Jerks. So I got in my "quiet worker mode" where I don't really talk. When I'm pissed off, I just shut my mouth and I don't say anything at all. I just get in this way beyong pissed off mood. So, about a 30 mintes before we're supposed to leave Melissa comes up and gives me a hug and says, "Thanks for being a good girl today." Am I not a good girl every other day? Was I "good" becuase I wasn't talking? I don't get it.

I enjoy working with money a lot, but sometimes I wonder if this is where God wants me to be right now. If it was, don't you think I'd be super excited about going to work and I would feel as though I'm making a difference where I work? Just a thought.

I'm going to take a walk now. I'm trying to lose weight, so we'll see how that goes. I would like to loose about 3 sizes before I go to Omaha for Jane's wedding and then to Vegas.

Later. Don't forget to watch Grey's Anatomy tonight. It's 2 hours!

Something's there that I can't see, save me from this misery...

Hi Mom's! Happy Mother's Day!

So, my mom completely loved her Mother's Day Scrapbook I made her. It's official, I'm the favorite. *ha ha* I started off her wonderful day by making her PINK waffles with chocolate chips and fresh strawberries. Yum yum!

Survivor finale is tonight. So is Grey's Anatomy. I'll watch Survivor and DVR the other. I must watch both, of course.

We're grilling out kabobs for lunch. Yum.

Gotta run.

Survivor prediction: Cirie is the 4th person voted out. Terry is the 3rd. Final two are Aras and Danielle and I think...Aras will win.

feel rain on your skin....

Hi everyone. *blah* What a week this has been. Highs and lows, but mostly just in the middle.

My mom's company picnic is tomorrow. Should be fun. It's at the Bricktown Ballpark.

So, I'm thinking about taking a day trip to Tulsa in a few weeks. I just want to go up there and shop around. It'll be fun.

My cousin Jane lives in Omaha and invited me to come up and hang with her. Should be buckets of fun. I'll have to do that, definitely.

Whitney are I are going to go out one day soon and take pictures. We want to use some fun pictures for our Facebook profiles. Plus, I need some new pictures to scrapbook with.

Alright. Going to bed...I have work in the morning...yuck.

You had a bad day...

So, the hot guy came into the bank yesterday again. We talked some more. He's got a great smile and nice teeth. His name is Matt. *sigh*

So, I got tickets to see Glenn Beck on July 15th in Tulsa. My dad is going too. We love Glenn Beck.

So, today at work, everyone got written up. Mine was because I didn't notice that Pam left her work out last night and since I'm the person with the most seniority it's automoatically my fault. Can you say...BULLSHIT? Comepletely not fair. I'm getting really sick of the double standard we have at work. It's in our policy that we can't wear denim. So, one day I came in wearing a denim jacket because I had just come from school. I was immediately told that I couldn't wear my jacket. However, yesterday another girl at work wore a denim jacket all day and nobody said ANYTHING about it. Excuse me, how is that fair? I'm just sick of crap like that. I would love to get a job doing something creative and inspiring. However, I wouldn't make jack compared to what I make now. So, I'll stay here, but I'm in it ONLY for the money.

So, American Idol...who's going to win? I'm guessing Taylor and Chris in the final two. I really think Taylor will win. Everyone else has been in the bottom 2 before, but not Taylor. I think Chris deserves to win though. We'll see. Katharine will be gone tomorrow though, she wasn't good tonight.

Hot guy at the bank

I just watched "Dirty Jobs" on the Discovery channel. Talk about gross. This guy had to clean out a backed up toilet. So nasty.

Work was good today. I have an Advertising final and a humanities final tomorrow. Should be interesting.

So, this guy came into the bank today. He was super hot. We talked for like, 10 minutes while I did his transactions. He's buying a house. Very impressive. He's got dark brown hair and gorgeous teeth. *sigh* I hope I see him again soon. He's 21 too. I can't say his name, but let's just say he's great.

Ah, I'm ready for finals to be over. 1 down, 4 to go.

love, sweet love

Why does it seem like everyone is with someone except me? I want to be with someone. I want to have someone to go on picnics with. I want to go shopping and help him pick out clothes. *sigh*

I'm ready! I'm ready to fall in love, get married and have some kids! I want to buy a house and decorate it. I want it all!

I know I just have to be patient and that God will lead me to my soulmate.

Don't you just love Grey's Anatomy? I'm addicted to it. I'm going to rent Season 1 and watch it all!

I've got 3 economics papers to write this week! I'm going to get an A in that class!!!!

Okay, I'm off. Have a nice week.
