Party tonight

Going to O'Connell's tonight with Meaghan. We're meeting my friend Chris there and gonna drink. SHould be extra fun. I'm totally in the mood to go out and have fun tonight. I hope Chris and Meaghan like eachother and hit it off.

Meaghan's sister, Julie, is coming out to dinner with us. She's not 21, so she can't drink with us, but I'm so excited to meet her.

OKay, I must go get ready now.

Pictures will come later!

The Sick Couch

I'm on the Sick Couch today. The sick couch is where the sick kids go and I'm sick. Sore throat, headache, stuffy nose. I've got it.

On a cooler note, I'm setting Meaghan up on a blind date with my friend Chris. We're all going to O'Connell's tomorrow night. I really hope they hit it off becuase that would be so cool. Although I realized that if the two of them hook up, I'll be Single Holly forever. *sobs* I need a man!

Okay. Back to the sick couch...

Fun in Norman

So, I hung out with my friend Meaghan last night. We went to Norman and ate at Panera, went to Barnes and Noble, Target, drank at O'Connell's, and then frolicked around the South Oval taking pictures. Fun stuff!

We found this red telephone booth by the Microbiology building and wow, it was a great setting for our pictures.

I think I'm getting sick. Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

One more...

Just a few more pictures I love!

My studio with the bricks and me and my birthday roses!

With love, from me, to you.

So, I've been in a crafty mood since my scrapbook room is in shambles right now. Therefore, I had to find something to do to fulfill my creative streak. Hence, the decoupage letters. These are my latest creations. I made them for Christmas gifts. The OU and the funky W are for my sister. The fancy red and green W is for my mom to put in the living room, the S and J are for my parent's bedroom and the cool H, well, that's for my scrap studio.

I'll be posting pictures of my scrap studio today so you can see how it looks with the bricks. I'm pretty much loving it, however, it's a mess right now. My desk had all sorts of stuff scattered all over it. I'm going to re-organize tomorrow and clean out some stuff I don't use anymore. (Horray for Kim! She's taking all of my scrap stuff for me so I can reload with new stuff!)

Merry Christmas!

The Day After....

I always hate the day after my birthday! It makes me sad that my birthday won't come again for another 364 days! *sigh*

My mom forgot to make my birthday cake! Can you believe that? She felt SO bad. She made it today, it's a white cake with lemon pudding between the layers and some white fluffy homemade icing on top with these little red and green sprinkles on top. YUMMY!

My mom had today off so we went shopping. Have I mentioned that I hate shopping this time of year? Becuase I do. We went to the Wal-Mart on Penn and Memorial and then to Quail Springs Mall, after that we went to the Yukon Walmart and to Kohls. There's way too many people out shopping. Totally not my thing. I hate being around that many people.

I'm going out tonight with Jessica. We're going to Charleston's on I-240 where my sister works! I want their spinach dip! Yum yum! Hm, and probably their West End Chicken. It's grilled chicken with mushrooms, bacon and havatri cheese on top. SO good. Maybe we'll see a movie later. I really want to see The Holiday with KAte Winslet and Cameron Diaz. Leslie said it was really funny.

Okay, I must run and get ready. Have a nice night!

12.21.2006

Two posts from the birthday girl today! Aren't you lucky?

I swear, I've gotten so many birthday wishes today! Thank you!!! My facebook wall is filled up with sweet messages! My Myspace is pretty full too!

My sister went back to Norman. I was going to go with her, but she wasn't going to do anything fun tonight and was just going to play Nintendo Wii in her apartment.

I got my Razr phone and yea, it's just as wonderful as I had imagined.

Can you believe Christmas is only a few days away? Goodness! Time sure flies! It seems as though school just started for the semester and it was football season.

My dad is going to Dallas tomorrow. I might tag along, but haven't decided for sure yet.

Going to bed now....I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night/this morning, so I must sleep!

22! 22! Double Deuces baby! 22! 22!

So, I'm officially 22. Well, technically, not until 1:16 this afternoon. But anyhoo, today is my birthday! My sister called me right at midnight and wanted me to go out with her. I obliged, (after all, who is gonna turn down free alcohol on their birthday?) So, we went to this bar called McFinn. Pretty fun. Whitney, Tommy, James, Jade and I all hung out. Whitney was drunk off her ass. Jade drove her truck back to Norman and I lead him there in my Equinox. I've never seen my sister drunk before, but man! She is super flirty when she's drunk. She and Jade were flirting all night (Jade is a guy, by the way). We left at 2:00am and then went back to Whitney's apartment. I ended up falling asleep around 4-ish.

We're all going to Outback tonight for dinner and then I might go out with Whitney again. I dunno though.

Must go do some Christmas shopping now. Maybe I'll stop for green tea along the way. After all, it is my birthday.

12.20.2006

One more day!

Until my birthday!!! I'm not one bit excited...nope not at all....I'm a terrible liar. I'm about to jump out of my skin. I want my Vera Bradley messenger bag from my sister and my new phone! Plus, we're all going out to eat tomorrow night at Outback. That's been our birthday place for years! I love their Wallaby-darned drink. It's similar to a peach bellini and oh so yummy!

Leslie just came over and we exchanged gifts! She brought me a dozen salmon colored roses for my birthday and a Wal-Mart gift card. I spend so much money at Wal-Mart, it's crazy. I love the roses, they smell SO good. What's cool is that when I was born, my grandpa brought my mom salmon colored roses to the hospital. So, I was so excited when Leslie's roses she brought me were salmon colored too.

Going to take a bubble bath now!

12.19.2006

I love being a girl!

I want to go get a pedicure and manicure. I'm in the mood to spend a day getting pampered. Thursday I'm going to spend all day just being girly. Bubble bath, painting toe nails, getting my hair pretty, etc. I love girly days!

Went to Norman with my sister tonight. We ate at Chili's and then went to Barnes and Noble. I love looking at books. I seriously could spend all day in the book store.

I want a fruit smoothie right now. Something with LOTS of strawberries.

I'm so sick and tired of being single. I want a cute boy to play with. I want someone to hang out with and hold my hand. I want to have little inside jokes. *sigh* I'd be a great girlfriend, I promise!

I'm addicted to Miami Ink on TLC! LOVE IT!

My Birthday is in 2 days!!!

Oh happy day!

I was totally a daddy's girl today. I got up early and ran around with him all day. We left at 9 and went to Lowe's on the south side. There, we bought my mom 6 poinsettia plants and some bamboo. She's going to be so surprised! We went to Norman and visited some of my dad's clients. We took 4 of them out for lunch and then came back home. Good times.

The parents have to go to a neighborhood association meeting tonight.

Tomorrow I'm subbing for my old yearbook teacher. She teaches Junior English, Yearbook, Newspaper and Journalism. I can't wait to sub for them! It'll be great!

12.17.2006

Glenn Beck and Christmas stuff

Glenn Beck was awesome last night. Gosh, he's so cool. Very little politics in last night's show. It was mostly a Christmas message about spending time with the ones you love and knowing that Christmas isn't just about presents and lots of food. It's about the magic of the holiday, the sparkle in a child's eyes and being with your family creating memories. Such a good time and even more special that I got to spend some time with my dad.

I just picked up a sub job tomorrow at the high school teaching Spanish. Cool kids. I've subbed for them before. Maybe I can get my Christmas cards made out while I'm watching those kids.

I printed off the high school social studies PASS skills this morning. The cool thing about Hisotry is that you're essentially telling a story. That's why I enjoy it so much. I really hope I can teach American History and Government. I like Geography a lot and Oklahoma history, too, but American History and Government are my favorites.

My mom is at work today. She has to work 3-11 tonight. I hate it when she has to work that shift because she gets home at 11:30 and then has to get back up at 5:00 and be back at work at 6:30. She gets virtually no sleep. Poor mom. But, my dad and I are going to surprise her tonight and bring her dinner. So, that'll be fun.

Speaking of fun, the Survivor season finale is on tonight. Who do you think will win? I'm guessing Ozzy or Yul. I really want Ozzy to win though. He climbs trees like a monkey, swims like a fish, and gets along with everyone.

This week is going to be so good. My birthday, my red Razr phone should be here this week, I should be getting tags from my tag swap, my aunt mailed my Christmas and Birthday presents too. *I sound so selfish. I'm really not, I promise*

Anyway, I better get going. I'm in the mood to scrapbook today, but my scrapbook room is in shambles right now because it's getting bricked. So, maybe I can dlip through a few magazines and get some ideas.

12.16.2006

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Christmas time is here! How do I know that? The baking has begun!

Reindeer cookies, chocolate mice (a chocolate covered cherry, Hershey's kiss and 2 almond sliver ears) and Santa Sugar cookies.

YUMMY!

12.12.2006

One down, one to go.....

Took two finals today, Sales Management and Economics. I think I did decent on both. I have two more to take on Thursday.

Subbing yesterday was great. I had a bunch of really cool kids. Tomorrow I'm subbing at the Middle School....6th grade Math and Friday I'm at the high school teaching Physics. I tell ya, I have so much fun at the high school. The kids, for the most part, are great.

I totally need to scrapbook. I've been stuck in a rut for the past week or two. But I must break free of the creative dry spell and play with paper crafts today!!!

Hobby Lobby has scrapbook stuff on sale....I must resist and not succumb to the glorious scrapping treasures, however, it's *so* hard. Must be strong.....

12.11.2006

The week of hell....

Subbing today at the high school, AP Statistics and Calculus. Have I ever taken those classes? Um, no. A lot of help I'll be! *ha ha* Therefore, I'll be studying for Economics and Sales Management today.

Finals week always stresses me out. Although it's not really stress, it's more just nerves. Sales Management isn't really grating me on that bad, Economics on the other hand is scaring the crap out of me. My professor said that the final will come from our two tests, which he gave back to us), so I've been studying those tests like crazy. I even made flash cards. I need to pay attention to the calculations. If anything, that's what's going to get me.

I went to the mall yesterday to pick up a few goodies, including myself. I have a weird obsession with sweaters. In the winter, guaranteed I almost always have a sweater on. Love them. Anyway, I got some yummy gift cards and then while I was there I had a birthday coupon for 25% off at New York and Company (one of my favorite stores), so of course I had to go in and see what I could find. I got a gorgeous turquoise/light blue sweater and a black one. You can never have too many black sweaters.

While I was at the mall I saw this guy, he was maybe in his 30's or early 40's with a BOWL cut. Serisouly, what self respecting adult wear's his hair like that? Maybe that's cool, if you're like 9 years old, but any older than that is....unacceptable. Okay, that's the end of my rant.

Off to school.....enjoy your day!

12.09.2006

You know how I know you're gay? You like Coldplay.

So much for my wicked fun weekend. I called Leslie last night and she couldn't go out and do anything because she was babysitting. So, my parents went out last night to dinner and to see Blood Diamond. I fell asleep on the couch around 6:00, I was feeling better, but not 100% great. Anyway, I woke up at 9:30 this morning. That's like, 15 hours of sleep. NICE.

Today was fun. My mom and I went to the post office, Big Lots, Wal-Mart. Then we ate lunch at Taco Bueno and went to 7 Minutes later to get scrapbooking stuff for Christmas. Then, we ran to Target, did you know they have Prima flowers there? Yea, those darling little flowers in the glass bottles. Only, for $6.99. I bought 3 different bottles. Super cute! Can't wait to play with them.

Guess what happens in 12 days?!?! Um, yea, that would be my 22nd birthday! *woo hoo* There's just something incredibly cool about being 22. Maybe it's just because it's the same number twice. I don't know, but I'm very excited.

I'm watching The 40 Year Old Virgin. LOVE that movie. So funny. *Hence, the title quote*

12.08.2006

Fun weekend plans

Hm, I'm tired.

I want to do something tonight. I called Leslie and left her a voicemail. Jessica ususally goes out with Chris on Fridays, so I'm not going to attempt to call her. All I know is that I'm in the mood for some fun tonight, and some italian food. *yum*

I want to see The Holiday this weekend.

Subbing today was good. I had fun with the 7th graders, they're pretty cool.

Nothing else for news.

My birthday is in 2 weeks! Horray!

12.07.2006

Chubby Bunnies

So, I just finished my History and Philosophy of CareerTech final. It was slightly brutal. I think I did okay on it. I'm working on my personal philosophy statement right now....well, I'm supposed to be working on it right now *wink wink* But I'm really eating marshamllows and watching Beauty and the Geek.

I'm so addicted to Beauty and the Geek on MTV. I think it's the last season, but I've never seen it before, but I totally love it.

I'm feeling a little better today, but have a terrible headache right now and I'm only a little bit nauseous. I drank a Sprite once I got to school and felt better for a little while.

I hope Grey's Anatomy is new tonight. My mom said she didn't think it was though. *sad face* My Thursdays just aren't complete without Grey's Anatomy.

Tomorrow I'm subbing 7th grade Pre-Algebra. I was supposed to be at the Mid-High, but the teacher cancelled her appointment, so she didn't need a sub anymore. I also picked up a sub job Monday at the high school teaching AP Statistics and AP Calculus. Do I know anything about either of those? Um, no.

I want to see "The Holiday" this weekend. It looks like a cute romantic comedy, and those are my most favorite types of movies.

I ordered my Donna Downey bag last week. It's super wonderful and I can't wait to get it. Wanna see?http://www.dizeregadesigns.com/wst_page10.php?idx=4&file=images/dd_bag[1]_(2)1.jpg&&ID2=TVQSpW

Must run now....

12.06.2006

*BARF*

Yea, that's what I feel like doing right now. I don't know what's wrong, but I've felt so sick all day. I still subbed, but just went to the bathroom about 6 times because I thought I was going to throw up. I made it through the day, came home at 2:20 and work up about 5:20.

I was supposed to go to the scrapbook sotre's open house with Kim tonight, but because I wasn't feeling good, I didn't go. You know that's sick when I'll turn down going to the scrapbook store.

Classes tomorrow. Management, Sales Management, Problems of Today's Consumer, and Economics. Problems and Economics are optional tomorrow. I'm still planning on going to both of those classes though. I feel guilty when I don't go to class. Plus, we're just reviewing, so it's pointless not to go.

I have a final to take online tomorrow when I get home. So not looking forward to that. I also have to write a paragraph about my philosophy on Career Tech. It's only a paragraph, but still. It involves extra work. Remember, I mentally checked out already.

Going to bed now....9:08. Should get lots of good sleep tonight!

Ho Ho Holidays

So dead this morning. I'm in desperate need of caffeine.

I'm fixing to leave to go substitute teach. Today I'm at Mustang Mid-High teaching Special Ed. I think these are just kids with learning disabilities, and not so much mental retardation. I tell ya, the Special Ed kids are great. Totally love them. I try to get those sub jobs whenever I can. The classes are really laid back, and usually don't have too many kids in them.

I have to take my homework with me today, I have to have a philosophy statement for Career Tech turned in on Friday, and have I started on it? Of course not. Plus, I have a final online starting tomorrow at 6am and it's online until 6am on Friday. So, I have a full day to take the test, which is really nice. It's got a 2 hour time limit and of course is open book/open note.

I'm ready to be done with school. I've mentally checked out for the smester.

Take a walk on the wild side...

Subbing today.....*sigh* where to begin.....I had Alternative education kids....they were good until 7th hour, then after that, total and complete anarchy. I had all boys, all day long, (10 kids at the most in one class). 7th hour made me want to cry, kids standing on desks, leaning back in their desks on 2 legs, writing profanity on the dry erase board, hollering, punching one another. Complete madness. NEVER AGAIN.

Wednesday I'm subbing Special Ed and Friday I'm doing 9th grade geometry, both at the Freshman Center. Looking forward to those kids, they're pretty good.

My aunt and uncle are here. They rolled in around 6:30, we went to Interurban for $5.99 pizza night and $1 beer. So much fun.

Ran to Wal-Mart once I got home and got some Modge Podge for a project I'm going to start this week. I'll post pics once it's all done.

School tomorrow....not looking forward to it one bit. Hopefully it won't be too brutal. I'm just not in the mood for school right now. I'm over it for the semester.

Going to get my tage ready to mail off for my Tag Swap that was due on Friday! *eek!*

12.03.2006

My new favorite thing...

So, I love typography. I just do, always have. Well, I've been downloading free fonts all afternoon so I can use them on my scrapbook pages. I really really want a printer that can print on 12x12 pages. That would seriosuly revolutionize the way I scrap. Seriously. (Speakin of that, one of my friends said I say "seriously" a lot.) I'm working on that, thanks Leslie.

Went to Kohls this afternoon with my mom. I didn't buy anything. Although, I did take a picture with my camera phoe of Kitchen Aid Mixers. Every single time I go to Kohls, or a department store I always have to look at the mixers. It's just my routine. I'm obsessed with them. But today, the one I looked at had a ribbon tied around it. SO cute! I must have one.

We're going to Wal-Mart here in a little bit. My aunt and uncle are on their way back from South Dakota and Iowa and will be spending Monday and Tuesday with us. I love them so much. My dad is one of 9 kids and my uncle Todd is his baby brother. (My dad is the 3rd youngest) anyway, Todd just worked odd jobs and when he was in his 30's he went back to college, and spent about 6 or 8 years working to be a verterinarian. While he was back in school he met my aunt Cindy. She was divorced with teenaged kids and they met and fell in love. Cindy is an occupational therapist. For a long time while they were in school they just scraped by, never really had a lot of money to do anything. They got married in 2002, on a Friday and Todd graduated from Vet school on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, one big huge party week! They moved to Texas (from Iowa) and have a cute little life now. My uncle has his own clinic and my aunt makes about $80 an hour doing occupational therapy at nursing homes and hospitals. It's just nice to see them so happy now and they have a gorgeous house and a lot of land. They have a house in Las Vegas that they rent out to vacationers and it's just nice to see them have a lot of money now, because like I said, there were many years where they were barely making ends meet during college. Anyway, they are a perfect example of how, if you work hard, you can do anything. I love them so much!!!

Okay, enough of this mushy stuff. So, today go download some fonts! Trust me, you'll be addicted! and the best part is, they're FREE!!! http://www.dafont.com

I'm a very happy elf....

Slept in until 9:30 this morning, my mom made me chocolate chip waffles for breakfast and then my parents went to see Deja Vu, I stayed home and took a shower, did my hair, makeup, etc. My sister came home and got in a fight with my mom and I left to do some Christmas shopping. While I was out, I stopped by 7 Minutes Later and picked up some treats.

Kim is playing little Miss Matchmaker and I'm so excited. Yay! Can't wait!

Okay, here's a peek at my treasures from 7ML today!

12.01.2006

The Scrap Factory

I spent a good part of the afternoon in my studio scrapping today. I did two 12x12 layouts and a 7 gypsies zig zag book for my friend Emma for Christmas. I've got pictures of the 2 layouts.

One is with some of our Christmas pictures and the other is from Glenn Beck's Midlife Crisis tour that my dad and I went to. I still have the other part of the Glenn Beck page to do with me and my dad with our surprised faces on. That's probably one of my favorite pictures of me and my dad. It's so silly, but I love it!

Also, my mom and dad went to Wal-Mart and guess what they came back with? a Gingerbread house decorating kit!!!! I love to cook, but even more than that, I love to bake. I've always wanted to take a cake decorating class, and I love decorating cookies! So, the gingerbread house was a fantastic gift. Since I was bored out of my mind today, I ripped right into the kit around 1:00. This was my first gingerbread house and let me just say, decorating it is not as easy as you might think. My gingerbread house looks quite....primitive. But, hey, it was my first attempt, so give me a break!

Doggy Style, that's just how we roll....

My puppies are so adorable. Maggie (left) and Cricket (left) love sitting on the back of the chair. Maggie looks especially darling right here....I love the innocent puppy look. Now sitting on the back of the chair all day, getting treats and looking out the window, that's style, doggy style!

Maggie is having a hard time adjusting to snow. This is her first winter and she's never seen snow before. So, when we stuck her outside to go potty she didn't want to have anything to do with it. She ran right back up to the door and cried until I let her back in. I don't blame her, I wouldn't want to have to poop or pee in the snow....it's COLD! But bless her little heart, she held it in all day, and then she peed on the tile. She was so scared that she was gonna get a spanking and she ran and hid under my bed (her favortie hiding spot). I cleaned up the mess, and didn't spank her. This was her get out of jail free card. *ha ha*

I am going to scrapbook today!!! No if's, and's or butt's about it! My tags for the tag swap I'm doing are due today, but there's no way I'm getting out and driving in the snow and ice today. The sun is melting some of the snow, but if it freezes again tonight, it's just going to turn to ice tomorrow morning.

I've got so many scrapbooking projects to work on!!! I need to journal on my Las Vegas mini book. I still have to do my Glenn Beck page from July!!! For my dad's brithday last year we went to Texas Motor Speedway and he got to do the Richard Petty Driving experience and he got to drive a real NASCAR car aorund the track. Talk about heaven, he loved every minute of it!!! I still need to do that page. Plus, I have cards to work on and a few more mini books for people for Christmas!!! I'm working on a window for my Aunt Lauri and Uncle Jeff. I can take my time on that since I won't be able to bring it to them until March when Jessica and I go to Rapid City for Spring Break.

Gonna go scrap now. Will post pics later!
